At the beginning of November a project on computing resources consolidation of 74 regional payment information processing centers was accomplished. Electronic payment transactions that previously were carried out in 78 regional Computer Centers on 234 Unix-servers are handled now in two multiple-access information processing centers on IBM System z990 mainframes.
The concept and system technical architecture of a given solution were developed by the specialists of IBM and the Institute of Information Technology Problems of the Russian Academy of Science, and its design, installation, system integration and maintenance were realized by the Russian partner of IBM - "EC-leasing" Company.
